Use the published breeding matrix in two directions: calculate a child from two parents, or find recorded parent pairs for a target Pal.
Quick answer
Choose Parents → Child when you own two Pals and want their recorded child. Choose Target → Parents when you know the Pal you want and need combinations that produce it.

Parents → Child
- Search for Parent A and Parent B by display name.
- Leave gender blank unless the data shows a male or female requirement.
- Select Calculate child to retrieve the deterministic result for this snapshot.
- Check the displayed version, result status, and data details before using the result.

Target → Parents
- Choose the target Pal you want to breed.
- Open the complete returned list of parent pairs.
- Filter by a Pal you already own or by a parent name.
- Open a pair in the calculator to confirm any displayed gender requirement.
How to read gender requirements
A blank gender means no gender restriction is shown for that parent in this published snapshot. A displayed male or female value must be followed for that returned combination.
Gender restrictions do not identify every special or Fusion recipe. The current matrix does not expose a reviewed recipe_type field, so this guide does not turn gender constraints into a special-recipe classification.
Same-species rows and recorded exceptions
Treat the calculator result as a row from the pinned dataset, not as a claim that one general rule explains every outcome. A same-species row or another recorded exception should be used exactly as returned for the displayed revision.
This release deliberately postpones a standalone Special/Fusion directory until each row has an auditable recipe type and reviewed source.

What this guide does not calculate
Inherited passive skills, IVs, mutations, awakening, breeding duration, resource bonuses, and multi-generation planning are outside the current release. The calculator also does not claim that the first listed pair is easiest to catch or obtain.

Does gender always matter in Palworld breeding?
