How Palworld breeding works
PALWORLD BREEDING BASICS
Palworld breeding is easiest to plan as a two-part question: which child species can a parent pair produce, and which parent pairs can produce the Pal you want?

A Palworld breeding calculator maps two selected parents to a recorded child, or reverses the lookup to show parent combinations for a target Pal. Use that result to plan the species outcome, then confirm the pair and any displayed gender requirement before continuing in the game.
The two directions of a Palworld breeding lookup
Parents → Child is useful when you already own two Pals. Select both parents and the calculator returns the species outcome represented in the published matrix. Target → Parents starts with the Pal you want and returns recorded parent pairs that may produce it.
These are different player tasks. The first answers “what will these Pals make?” The second answers “what can I pair to make this Pal?” Keeping the questions separate makes a long list of Palworld breeding combinations much easier to use.
A simple planning workflow
- Decide whether you are starting from two owned Pals or from a target species.
- Search the Pal directory when you need to confirm a name or Paldeck identity.
- Run the matching calculator mode and read the complete result rather than relying on a remembered combination.
- Check whether the returned pair shows a male or female constraint.
- Use the result as a species plan, then confirm the current in-game Breeding Farm requirements before spending resources.
What a displayed gender constraint means
If a returned parent includes a displayed gender, follow that requirement for the selected combination. If the field is blank, the published row does not show a gender restriction for that parent. A gender field is a constraint; it is not enough evidence to label a recipe as Special or Fusion.

Species outcomes and passive skills are separate questions
A species calculator can tell you which child is represented for a parent pair without predicting which passive skills, IVs, mutations, or other traits will appear. Players often care about both, but they should not be blended into one unsupported answer. First confirm the desired child species; then track trait goals separately in your own plan and verify the result in the game.

They do not calculate passive inheritance, IV probability, mutation, awakening, breeding duration, catch difficulty, or an optimal multi-generation path.
